ITANAGAR, Feb 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arunachal Pradesh today held a condolence meeting at the BJP State Office, Itanagar, to mourn the passing of Advocate Lompak Paksok, the State Convener of Policy Research and Former State President of Kisan Morcha, BJP Arunachal Pradesh. Adv. Paksok, aged around 50 years, passed away on February 27 at his residence in Daporijo after prolonged illness.
The solemn gathering was led by State President Kaling Moyong, accompanied by State Vice-Presidents Tarh Tarak and Junty Singpho, State General Secretary Tadar Niglar, senior party leaders, and karyakartas, who paid their last respects to the late leader.
As an intellectual and policy expert, Paksok played a vital role in strengthening the BJP’s research and policy development initiatives. His contributions were instrumental in shaping strategies that benefited the people of Arunachal Pradesh. Kisan Morcha State President Gumsen Lollen highlighted the significant contributions of late Paksok, emphasizing his dedication to public service and his efforts in shaping policy decisions for the welfare of society. He served the party in multiple capacities, including, District President & District General Secretary of BJP, State President of Kisan Morcha, District In-Charges, State Convener, Department of Drafting & Publication, BJP, Member, Wildlife Board, TAC Member, Department of Telecommunication, active roles in various student and social organizations throughout his life.
Lollen revealed that Paksok played a crucial role in collecting iron from Arunachal Pradesh, which was later handed over in New Delhi for the construction of the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In an extraordinary act of social service, Lollen also disclosed that the mortal remains of Late Lompak Paksok were donated to the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) for educational and research purposes. This noble gesture reflects his lifelong dedication to knowledge and service, ensuring that even in his passing, he contributed to the advancement of medical education and the future of healthcare in Arunachal Pradesh.
State President Kaling Moyong expressed deep grief, stating that late Paksok was a true patriot, a selfless leader, and a guiding force for many in the party. His contributions to the BJP and his dedication to public service will always be remembered. His noble act of donating his body to medical science further reflects his lifelong commitment to knowledge and humanity.
