Itanagar, Sep 9 : The Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, planted a sapling of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) in the front lawn of Lok Bhavan, Itanagar, today marking the conclusion of his maiden visit to Arunachal Pradesh.
The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd.), along with officials and staff of Lok Bhavan, was present on the occasion.
The Vice President expressed admiration for the serene surroundings, lush greenery, and well-maintained landscape of Lok Bhavan. He appreciated the harmonious blend of nature and infrastructure, which creates a peaceful and welcoming environment befitting the spirit and cultural ethos of Arunachal Pradesh.
