NAHARLAGUN, Mar 27: As part of the ‘Cops and Community Initiative’, the Naharlagun Police successfully recovered four abandoned two-wheelers from various locations within the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR), Naharlagun. These recoveries were made possible through valuable information provided by alert and responsible citizens, highlighting the importance of community participation in maintaining law and order.
The initiative, aimed at strengthening police-community collaboration, focuses on curbing vehicle-related crimes and ensuring that lost or abandoned vehicles are safely returned to their rightful owners. The recovered vehicles have been stationed at Papu Hills Police Station and Naharlagun Police Station, where their legal owners can claim them after undergoing verification and completing necessary formalities.
The Superintendent of Police, Naharlagun, has urged vehicle owners to visit the respective police stations with proper documentation to establish ownership before the vehicles are released. He also emphasized the need for continued public vigilance and encouraged citizens to promptly report any abandoned or stolen vehicles to the nearest police station.
