DC inaugurates school amenity
ITANAGAR, Nov 15: Ane’s Home, located at the Women Police Station in Itanagar, played a pivotal role as a satellite venue for the Arunachal Literature Festival 2024. Over three days, the venue brought together children, storytellers, and artists to celebrate the joy of literature and art, coinciding with Children’s Day festivities.
The event began on November 13 with an engaging storytelling session by renowned storyteller and author Vijayalakshmi Nagaraj. She captivated children from the Oju Welfare School with her imaginative narratives, sparking curiosity and wonder. The celebrations continued on Children’s Day, November 14, with a special storytelling session led by Padma Shri awardee Satyanarayan Mundyador, fondly called Uncle Moosa. The session, held for visually impaired students from Donyi Polo School, emphasized inclusivity and highlighted the power of stories to bridge gaps and bring joy to all children.
The festival concluded on November 15 with an interactive comic illustration workshop led by Reena Puri and Rituparno from Amar Chitra Katha. Children from Oju Mission School and other institutions explored their creativity and storytelling skills through comic art, diving into an imaginative world.
Ane’s Home expressed deep gratitude to the Arunachal Literature Festival team, led by Secretary IPR Nyali Ete, for selecting the venue. Acknowledgments were also extended to the speakers, participants, and partner schools, including Oju Mission School and Donyi Polo School, for their contributions to the event's success, stated a release.
