Itanagar, Jul 19: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd) has condoled the demise of former Minister Talo Mugli.
The Governor said that with the sudden passing of Shri Mugli, the State has lost a dedicated grassroots politician who served as a Panchayat member, a member of the legislative assembly, and a minister throughout his extensive public service. He noted that society has lost a prominent worker who made significant contributions to the welfare of all sections of the community.
Sharing in the grief of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, the Governor offered prayers to the Almighty, asking for strength for the bereaved family to endure this profound loss and for eternal peace for the departed soul.
Former Arunachal Pradesh PWD Minister and ex-APCC President Talo Mugli passed away on Thursday at his residence in Raga under Kamle district after prolonged illness. He was 67.
The Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) has also expressed shock and sadness at the premature demise of stalwart Talo Mugli who lived a life in the service of people.
Born on 5th October 1956 in the rolling hills of Muri Mugli county under Gepen circle of present day Kamle district, late Talo Mugli was the executive member of IFCSAP from 2017 to 2020 and remained a source of inspiration, pride and strength in our earnest endeavours towards protection, preservation and continuity of the rich cultural legacies, traditions, belief systems and practices, the society said in a statement.
The IFCSAP held a condolence meeting today at DIA Convention Hall, Chimpu, Itanagar and observed two minutes silence in fond reverence to the departed soul. The IFCSAP also convey its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and to find strength to bear with the loss.
The Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) also mourned the demise of Talo Mugli, the founder and former President of ASBA. In his honour, the executive members, coaches and players of ASBA observed a condolence meeting at Dorjee Khandu Memorial Indoor Badminton Stadium, B’ Sector near Raj Bhawan, Itanagar.
“He was one of the pioneers of Badminton in Arunachal Pradesh. Without him there would have been no badminton lovers across the State. It is because of his great love for the game that he became one of the founding members of ASBA, which has grown into a well-known game in the State,” stated Secretary General ASBA. Bamang Tago.
