DC inaugurates school amenity
Yupia, Nov 5: In an interaction with the Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Jiken Bomjen, the faculty members from the Film and Television Institute, Jote highlighted pressing issues to be addressed including challenges related to transport, accommodation, health services and campus security.
The classes for the first regular batch of students in FTI, Jote is scheduled to begin from November 15 of this month from the permanent campus.
Till last year the vocational courses were conducted by SRFTI from its temporary campus at Vivek Vihar.
Welcoming the professors, DC Jiken Bomjen informed that all the issues flagged have been taken up with the concern authorities and said that the District Administration is taking the extra pain to address their issues.
“FTI Jote campus nestled amidst hills offers the faculty and students an inspiring campus where the natural beauty of the surroundings complements the vibrant energy of film and media education,” he said while exhorting the professors to hone the artistic expressions.
During the meeting, professors from various departments at FTI—including Film Direction, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Editing, and Sound Design, SDO Tame Yajum, DLRSO NanneYowa were present.
