DC inaugurates school amenity
ITANAGAR, Nov 26: The NSS Unit of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) observed the 75th Constitution Day on November 26, with a series of meaningful activities aimed at promoting awareness about the Indian Constitution. The event, held at the Orchid Lawn of the college, was led by NSS Programme Officer Botem Moyong, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, and attended by around 80 active NSS volunteers.
The celebration commemorated the successful adoption of the Indian Constitution and was attended by DNGC Principal Dr. M.Q. Khan as the Chief Guest and Assistant Professor of Political Science Dr. Joba Riba as the Resource Person.
The event featured a variety of activities, including a talk on the Indian Constitution, career guidance and counseling sessions, a Constitution Day pledge, a poster-making competition, and a mini cleanliness drive.
Chief Guest Dr. M.Q. Khan inspired the students to be career-conscious and emphasized the importance of planning and preparation to achieve success in their end-semester exams. He also encouraged students to uphold the values of integrity and belongingness as part of their commitment to building a developed India (Viksit Bharat). Dr. Khan administered the Constitution Day pledge, emphasizing the significance of adhering to the principles of the Indian Constitution.
Attending the event as Resource Person Dr. Joba Riba delivered an insightful talk on the history and adoption of the Indian Constitution. He highlighted the "Right to Cleanliness" as an integral part of the "Right to Life" enshrined in the Constitution and urged students to maintain cleanliness and hygiene on campus and in their communities.
NSS Programme Officer Botem Moyong commended the volunteers for their active participation and encouraged them to uphold their responsibilities as citizens of India by respecting and following the Constitution.
The event concluded with a poster-making competition that showcased the creative talents of the volunteers, followed by a mini cleanliness drive. The volunteers cleaned the college playground, which had remnants of the Annual College Day celebration, ensuring the campus was spotless and setting an example of civic responsibility.
