ITANAGAR, Aug 2: The Capital Police hosted its fifth edition of their flagship community outreach program, Samwad, at Ganga Basti, Chimpu, under the Police Ajin Initiative. The event featured active participation from various community stakeholders and local MLA   Techi Kaso,  as the Chief Guest.
During the event, the Capital Police team conducted informative sessions on critical issues such as cyber crimes and drug abuse. They also engaged with community members, addressing and resolving concerns raised by those in attendance. 
In a significant gesture, MLA Techi Kaso handed over recovered lost and stolen property, including 20 mobile phones, 5 motorcycles, and local jewelry, to their rightful owners. These property had been recovered by the Chimpu Police Station over the past month and was collectively valued in lakhs.
 Kaso also praised the capital police team for their outstanding work in rescuing minor victims from trafficking and prostitution rings and solving high-profile cases. He presented appreciation letters to the police officers for their exemplary service. In his address,  Kaso urged the police officers to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and become role models in society. He also encouraged the community to cooperate with the police to foster a just and peaceful Itanagar.
The fifth edition of Samwad underscored the importance of a collaborative approach between the police and the public, reaffirming the Capital Police’s commitment to addressing community issues and enhancing the safety and security of the region.
