ITANAGAR, Jan 25: The All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU) has urged the state government to adopt a firm stand on the APPSC paper leak scandal, emphasising the need to prevent future lapses. The union criticized the recent reinstatement of four suspended Block Education Officers (BEOs) — Iken Bagra, Radek Romin, Posi Gamlin, and Taniyang Gaduk — calling it a display of "carelessness" by the education department.
Addressing the media at the press club on Saturday, Vice-President ANSU Tadak Lardak condemned the procedural lapses and appealed to Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona to address the issue seriously. "This is about more than procedural lapses; it concerns the future of our youth. The APPSC scandal has eroded trust in the state’s recruitment process," Lardak said. He urged the leadership to ensure their actions are remembered positively.
ANSU extends solidarity with the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU), supporting their call to hold all individuals involved in the APPSC scandal accountable, he asserted.
Further, ANSU Vice President also added that they acknowledged the state government's response to their demands to restart construction of the NH415 Package-B road. ANSU commended the decision but issued a strong warning to the department and contractors to avoid compromising quality. They insisted that the project be completed within the specified timeframe, highlighting its importance for connectivity and development in the region.
