New Delhi, Jan 20: A group of 45 students from Donyi-Polo Government College (DPGC), West Siang District, embarked on a fascinating Heritage Walk in the historic Qutub Complex, Mehrauli, led by Dr. Lubna Irfan, Assistant Professor of History from the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh.
The Heritage Walk, themed "Evolution of Delhi," aimed to provide the visiting students with a comprehensive understanding of Delhi's rich cultural and historical heritage. Dr. Irfan guided the students through the iconic Qutub Complex, sharing insightful commentary on the architectural, historical, and cultural significance of the monuments.
The Heritage Walk was organized as part of the Annual Educational Tour of DPGC students to Delhi and Agra. Accompanying the students in the tour are Assistant Professors Shri Gektum Tangu ( Geography), Dr. Doge Ngomdir (Hindi) and Shri Duli Ete (History). Another Heritage Walk is scheduled on 21st January, which will be led by Dr. Gulrukh Khan, Assistant Professor of History at AMU.
The coordinator of the walk, Duli Ete expressed that the walk also provided a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and interaction between faculty members of DPGC and AMU.
