Development begins in villages: Governor
Itanagar, Nov 6: The Department of Art & Culture, along with host institute, Rajiv Gandhi University, guided by its Registrar Dr N.T Rikam organised a cultural exchange event in honour of the Ashtalaxmi Dharshan initiative under the aegis of Ashtalaxmi Mahotsav - to promote and celebrate the cultural exchange program between various states of India and the eight north - eastern states under Ministry of DoNER.
The event was attended by 44 students from Goa and Uttarakhand, along with other delegates.
The cultural meet featured audio visual presentation from various tribes of Arunachal including -presentation by Er.John Paleng - folk artiste , Toba Angu - folk fusion icon & Hage Rinya - Artiste , Rode Karcho - singer cum composer, Joram Rinya - choreographer, Khawchat Pansang - Artiste - enlightened the guest by explaining the meaning and significance of tribal art forms which was subsequently reciprocated by performances by Goa and Uttarakhand’s students.
The event was attended by the presence of M Riba, Secretary Art & Culture, among others.
The newly recruited DACO & AACO of APPSCCE 2024 Batch also participated in the programme as part of their induction training.
