Tawang, Sep 4 : The 4th District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) Meeting of Tawang district was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Tawang, Namgyal Angmo.
The meeting was convened to review the progress, achievements and implementation status of various Flagship Programmes, Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), State-Funded Schemes, MLA Local Area Development Scheme (MLALADS), Member of Parliament 
Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and Untied Fund, along with other developmental programmes being implemented across the district.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Assistant Commissioner-cum-Deputy Director, Rural Development, Tenzin Jambey. Concerned Executive Engineers, their representatives, Heads of Offices and officials from various departments of the district attended the meeting.
Addressing the officers, Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo stressed that the creation of public infrastructure should not merely be viewed as execution of works or a means of generating profit for contractors. She emphasised that every infrastructure project must ultimately serve the purpose for which it has been created and provide tangible and lasting benefits to the people.
While reviewing department-wise updates on achievements and the physical and financial progress of various schemes and developmental works, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to accelerate the pace of ongoing works by making optimum use of the available working season, without compromising on quality.
She further emphasised the importance of regular field inspections and site visits by officers, stating that such visits are essential for obtaining first-hand information on the actual progress and quality of developmental works and for ensuring timely resolution of issues encountered during implementation.
Reviewing the progress of e-KYC updation of beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts being made by the Fair Price Shop (FPS) dealers in improving e-KYC 
coverage. She expressed hope that the progress would improve further before the next DLMC meeting.
The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned departments to maintain close coordination, strengthen field-level monitoring and ensure timely and quality implementation of developmental schemes.
