Itanagar, Dec 4: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), has extended warm greetings to the people of the State, and especially to the Adi brethren on the festive occasion of Podi Barbi. He wished that the celebration would strengthen the bonds of unity and further enrich the vibrant cultural heritage that defines our State.
In his message, the Governor said that festivals, rituals, and celebrations have always been integral to human life, shaping the social and cultural identity of every tribe. They reflect the community’s joy, harmony, and shared sense of belonging. Rooted in our beliefs, faith, and ways of living, these traditions draw strength from the agrarian character of our society. From time immemorial, our festivals have been linked to agriculture, offering prayers for divine grace, abundant harvests, and the well-being of all, he said.
On this joyous day, I offer my sincere prayers to Almighty Donyi Polo for His benevolent blessings and for peace, prosperity, and happiness across the State, the Governor said in his message.
