Itanagar, May 15: The All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Organisation (AAPYO) has expressed deep concern over the alleged non-compliance of private schools with government-mandated guidelines in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).
Addressing a press conference earlier today, executive member APYO criticized the functioning of several private educational institutions, accusing them of disregarding regulatory norms and failing to uphold the standards prescribed by the state education department.
"The education sector is the backbone of our future. It is unacceptable that some private schools continue to operate without adhering to basic guidelines and accountability measures," he stated. Our students have not been provided proper rights as per the RTE Act, claimed AAPYO.
The organisation further urged the state authorities to implement stricter monitoring mechanisms to ensure all private institutions operate within the legal and ethical framework. AAPYO also warned that if corrective actions are not taken immediately, they will seek legal intervention.
“We are prepared to consult legal experts and take appropriate legal steps to protect the interests of students and ensure proper regulation in the education system,” the Member added.
AAPYO’s statement comes amid increasing public scrutiny over rising fees, inadequate facilities, and the alleged exploitation of both students and teachers in certain private schools across the region.
The organisation has called for urgent reforms and has encouraged concerned parents and stakeholders to come forward with complaints or evidence of malpractice in educational institutions.
