DOIMUKH, Jul 27: The results of the Rajiv Gandhi University’s most sought after admission processes,
the RGUCET-2025, was declared late evening on Saturday. The Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of the University Prof. S.K. Nayak, expressed his satisfaction on the progress of the RGUCET-2025 and said that RGU being one of the top performing universities in the region is maintaining a class of its own by conducting such successful entrances in time bound manner, and to have declared the results on time.
RGU Registrar Dr. NT Rikam, informed that the entrance was held in five entrance centers of the university, namely; RGU, JNC Pasighat, IGGC Tezu, Government College Bomdila and at University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, Ribhoi near Guwahati where the entrances were conducted catering to the demands of the region as RGU attracts students from across the nation giving it a true pan India character. The Chairman of the RGUCET Central Coordination Committee Prof. SK Patnaik, informed that all the centres maintained strict examination protocols and had contained few stray incidences of attempt to breach during the eight-day long entrance days spread over twenty-three sessions from July 10-17.
University’s Controller of Examinations in-charge Dr. David Pertin informed that a total of 15806 candidates out of 19554 candidates have appeared their examinations in the notified fifty-seven Post Graduate, Under Graduate and PG Diploma programmes of both professional and conventional natures marking 80.83% attendance. He expressed satisfaction and said that new programmes like M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, MSc. in Physiology, MLIS and PGD in Forensic Sciences also got good takers this time, while the takers for B.Ed. programmes remained the highest yet again this time with 4097candidates vying for 1100 regular B.Ed. seats spread over RGU and its ten affiliated teacher education colleges. Post graduation in subjects like; Political Science, Tribal Studies, History, Mass Communication, Social Work, Geography, Management, English, Psychology, Economics and Sociology; and LLB programmes remained some of the popular choices in this varsity witnessing high takers. He further advised the candidates to regularly visit the university website and follow the notifications of merit lists issued by the respective departments and colleges concerned where the programmes are being offered.
