NEW DELHI, Jul 10: Women and Child Development minister Dasanglu Pul on Wednesday held a series of high-level meetings in the national capital to push forward key development initiatives related to culture, tourism, and welfare schemes in the state.
Pul called on Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to discuss proposals for strengthening Arunachal’s cultural infrastructure and heritage conservation efforts.
“We are committed to preserving and promoting our rich cultural legacy. The establishment of a Regional Cultural Centre of NEZCC at Jote will serve as a vibrant hub for indigenous art, music, and traditions,” Pul said after the meeting.
She also proposed the upgradation of Multi-Purpose Cultural Complexes (MPCCs) across the state to better serve local communities.
“Upgraded cultural complexes will provide inclusive spaces for youth and artisans to engage, perform and grow,” she said.
Union Minister Shekhawat assured the Centre’s full cooperation and support in realizing these projects.
Later, the Arunachal minister met Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi to review the implementation challenges of key central schemes in the state.
“We discussed issues ranging from infrastructure gaps to last-mile delivery challenges. The Union Minister was very receptive and appreciated Arunachal’s progressive approach in empowering women and protecting child rights,” Pul said.
“She reaffirmed her support and assured us of enhanced coordination with the Centre for the effective rollout of WCD schemes,” she added.
Calling for a united push for inclusive development, Pul stated, “Together with the Centre, we remain focused on building a stronger and more inclusive future for our women and children.”
Pul also visited the BJP Central Library at the party headquarters, where she met Prof Dr Aseervatham Zachary, National Coordinator, BJP.
“It was an insightful exchange. I deeply value his contributions to the party’s intellectual and knowledge ecosystem,” she said.
