Ziro, Sep 5: Chief Minister of Mizoram, Pu Lalduhoma, arrived at the picturesque Ziro Valley on his maiden visit, where he was accorded a warm reception by MLA Hage Appa, Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme, Superintendent of Police Keni Bagra, all Heads of Departments, PRI members and officials.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Gabriel D. Wangsu, Minister of Agriculture & Allied, who is also the Guardian Minister of Lower Subansiri District.
During his visit, the CM toured key sites of ecological and tourism importance including the Integrated Aquapark at Tarin, the Kiwi Garden at Biiri and the serene Seeh and Seke Lakes. At the Kiwi Garden, Tasso Yallu, SDHO, briefed the visiting dignitaries on the cultivation practices, market potential and future scope of kiwi farming in the region.
The CM also visited the popular winery Naar-Aaba at Hong village, where he interacted with its founder Tage Rita, and appreciated her pioneering efforts in promoting local agri-based entrepreneurship and putting Arunachal’s kiwi wine on the global map.
Through his visit, Pu Lalduhoma studied the region’s nature conservation initiatives, agro-based opportunities, and immense tourism potential. His maiden visit marked a moment of interstate goodwill and cooperation, strengthening ties between Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh in the common pursuit of sustainable development, eco-tourism promotion and rural livelihood generation in the North East.
Among others, Secretary, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary and Fisheries Hage Tari, IOFS and DAO Tasso Butung also accompanied the CM during his tour.
