Itanagar, Jun 20: The Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, Sriram Taranikanti called on the Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on Friday. They shared the Academy’s vision of training civil servants as ethical, efficient, and empathetic administrators and its commitment to inclusive development and service to all regions, including the Northeast.
The Governor urged the Director to emphasize empathy and cultural sensitivity, especially for tribal, remote, and border communities. He suggested increasing exposure of Officer Trainees (OTs) to border States like Arunachal Pradesh and said that such experiences foster a deeper understanding of national security, development challenges, and regional aspirations.
Parnaik recommended modules on inter-agency coordination, particularly for officers posted in sensitive or strategically significant regions. He stressed on the need to produce administrators who can lead transformation in aspirational districts, ensuring benefits reach the last citizen.
Emphasizing on building Emotional Intelligence and Resilience, the Governor advised focus on emotional well-being, moral courage, and adaptive leadership to face the complexities of modern governance
The Governor expressed willingness for Raj Bhavan and the State Government to support institutional exchange, mentorship, and training efforts for young officers.
The Director of LBSNAA assured the Governor of full support in strengthening the administrative human resource of the State, and expressed the Academy’s commitment to extending all possible assistance to the State Government in this endeavour.
