Tezu, Sep 23: The Investment & Entrepreneurship Workshop for Cluster 2  on UNNATI 2024 and other program was organised today at Amik Ringya Hall, by District Industries Centre, Tezu, with more than 330 entrepreneurs from Lohit, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Anjaw, and Namsai districts participating.
Deputy Commissioner Lohit, Kesang Ngurup Damo, while addressing the gathering  underlined the critical role of entrepreneurship in building both the state and the nation’s economy. He emphasized that government jobs cannot be provided to everyone and excessive dependence on them would only worsen the employment challenge. Instead, he urged the youth to make use of the skill development and training opportunities provided under various government schemes, stressing that entrepreneurship not only generates livelihoods but also strengthens the socio-economic fabric of Arunachal Pradesh.
The programme saw the participation of more than 330 entrepreneurs, who were sensitized about flagship schemes such as UNNATI-2024, APIDIP-2025, PMFME, and PM Vishwakarma, designed to promote industrial development and self-employment. Director of Industries, Gyabo Pertin, delivered the welcome address and encouraged entrepreneurs to actively engage in the sessions to understand and leverage the schemes for their businesses. Joint Director of Industries, Goli Angu, provided a comprehensive overview of the schemes, explaining eligibility, benefits, and processes.
The event was also attended by distinguished guests including Angelu Chaitom, ZPM Sunpura, and Balong Tindya, ZPM Tezu.  Tindya, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the Government of India and the State Government for extending such transformative initiatives to the grassroots level, highlighting that these efforts will empower youth and local entrepreneurs to play a meaningful role in regional growth.
Resource persons and consultants made detailed technical presentations on the schemes, offering step-by-step guidance on application procedures, financial incentives, and support mechanisms. They assured entrepreneurs of continuous handholding and technical support from registration to implementation so that genuine ventures could flourish across the five districts.
