Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
PASIGHAT, Feb 27: The Indian Army, in conjunction with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Arunachal Scouts, Para Special Forces and the newly raised Bhairav Battalion, successfully conducted a Joint Artillery Field Firing Exercise from February 23-25, at Tezu. The exercise was aimed at enhancing inter-organisation synergy and operational readiness in high-altitude terrain.
The three-day training event brought together the Spearhead Division of Spear Corps with infantry elements, Special Forces and ITBP personnel in a coordinated firepower training framework, validated through multiple live artillery fire missions. The exercise marked a significant milestone in strengthening joint operational integration and cross-arm cooperation among participating forces.
The training focused on the integration of advanced technologies, next-generation equipment and refined procedures in artillery firepower application. Troops operated under realistic battlefield conditions, facilitating effective assimilation of artillery drills and coordinated execution of fire missions in mountainous operational environment.
The exercise enhanced mutual confidence, coordination and responsiveness among participating forces, reinforcing jointness in training. It reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to integrated warfighting capability, inter-agency cooperation and realistic training to address emerging operational challenges,the release from Sigar Military station stated.
