Itanagar, Oct 6: 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC, Ex GP HQ Tezpur under the aegis of NCC Directorate NER drew the 4-day Idea and Innovation competition in NIT, Jote, held from October 3 to 6, to a triumphant close, leaving behind a trail of inspired cadets and mentally stimulating ideas.
The main aim of the Idea and Innovation competition was to equip young inquisitive cadets with the mindset to identify problems and pioneer innovative and practical solutions for tackling contemporary challenges of the nation. In alignment with the Government of India’s policy of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the event was designed to facilitate a culture of problem solving and pushing boundaries of conventional thinking and replacing it with innovative ideas, deep thoughts, critical analysis and entrepreneurial approach amongst the young minds of North Eastern Region. It sought to train the cadets to refine their concepts into practical solutions.
Around 84 participants from multiple Group HQs under the NCC Directorate NER participated in the prestigious event to showcase their unique ideas and project and seize the remarkable opportunity to present their ideas if selected to be showcased subsequently at the National Level in the month of January next year.
The participants of Idea and Innovation competition competed in three categories- Labs to Market, Ideas for Social Uplift and Innovation for Sustainability. These categories were determined with the motive to bridge academic research with market and engineeractionable, inclusive and scalable solutions.
