The event marked the distribution of Hybrid Vegetable Seed Kits, Organic Manure Kits (granular and liquid), Organic Pesticide Kits, and Knapsack Sprayers to 45 beneficiary farm families from the Jang-Thingbu Block, under the centrally sponsored scheme—
Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).

He highlighted the health and ecological hazards associated with synthetic inputs and urged farmers to adopt organic cultivation methods for sustainable yields, safer produce, and long-term environmental well-being.
“Organic farming is not only better for our health and environment, but it also opens new markets and premium pricing for farmers,” the ADC noted. He further encouraged the adoption of group farming models and stressed the need for forward linkages to connect farmers with better market avenues.
District Horticulture Officer Safior Rahman provided technical guidance on the correct usage of organic inputs. He explained the  application schedules and benefits of using organic fungicides, bactericides, bio-pesticides, and liquid enzymes, and reiterated the safety advantages of these inputs over conventional chemicals.
Sub-Divisional Horticulture Officer Koncho Gyatso briefed the gathering on the broader vision of the Vibrant Village Programme. He urged the farmers to engage in horticultural activities for sustainable income generation, improved food security, and economic resilience in remote villages.
The event also saw participation from Vinod Kumar, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), ITBP, PRI members, and other local stakeholders. Their presence underlined the importance of community collaboration in driving agricultural transformation in border areas.
The Vibrant Village Programme, with its focus on holistic rural development in remote and border villages, aims to ensure that no village is left behind in India’s growth story.
Today’s distribution marks a meaningful step in empowering farmers with tools and knowledge for organic, profitable, and resilient farming.
