Sona stresses on holistic education to truly nurture future generations
ITANAGAR, Jul 18: Close at the heels of the recently declared Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) results for Constable (Civil Police and IRBn) posts under the Home Department, the Arunachal Frontier Tribal Forum (AFTF) has raised serious concerns over the dismal selection rate.
Out of over 400 advertised vacancies, only 20 candidates have reportedly been selected, a number that has triggered widespread disappointment among aspirants. AFTF Chairperson Tadak Nalo has submitted a formal representation to the APSSB Chairman, urging immediate intervention and corrective measures.
Nalo stated that merely 5% of candidates managed to clear the exam, as per the recruitment notification issued back in 2020. In a bid to uphold transparency, the forum has demanded the immediate release of the official Answer Keys and OMR sheets.
To prevent recurrence of such outcomes in the future, AFTF further recommended key reforms—waiving off the negative marking system and granting a one-time age relaxation for candidates who appeared in the said examination. The forum emphasized that such measures are crucial for restoring faith in the recruitment process and ensuring equal opportunity for all deserving aspirants.
