ZIRO, Aug 13: A special health screening drive was formally launched today at the Mini Secretariat, Ziro, by the Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner, Oli Perme. The programme aims to promote early detection and prevention of lifestyle and health-related disorders.
The screening drive will be conducted every Wednesday at the Mini Secretariat, Ziro and will include blood pressure check, random blood sugar test, body weight measurement, and toxin analysis for all willing participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Perme appreciated the health department for making the health screening facility available for employees and the public at Mini Secretariat. She stressed the importance of regular health check-ups for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and urged all government employees and the general public to make full use of this initiative.
Dr. Millo Kunya, District Medical Officer lauded the initiative as a step towards preventive healthcare, noting that early detection of ailments can save lives and reduce the burden of serious diseases in the community.
The special screening drive is being organised by the National Programme for Non-Communicable Disease (DHS), Lower Subansiri District.
