ITANAGAR, Mar 5: A prize distribution programme was held today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan to give away the prizes of various literary and cultural competitions that was held during the celebration of 32nd Statehood Day at Indira Gandhi Park Itanagar.
While lauding the students for their performance, the DC urged them to always aspire to do the best and be the best in whatever one does.
He called upon the students as the future of the nation and urged them to be an example for others to follow. He asked them to learn how to balance both studies as well as co-curricular activities as it is important that one should pursue their hobbies along with studies but stressed that there should not be any compromise on education. He further told them about the importance of respect and discipline in a student’s life. Briefing about the importance of Swacchhta, the DC stressed that every student is a Swacchhta Sainani and has the responsibility of keeping themselves and their surroundings clean. Moreover, they have to pass on the message of swacchta to every individual that they come across.
He also informed that the District Administration is ready to provide all kind of support and cooperation to the students. He further informed that District Administration is in the process of providing separate toilets for boys and girls in every school. Moreover, any shortage of desk and benches would also be met up with in the next few months. Further, he also urged the students to directly write to him if the need ever comes.
During the programme, the DC handed over certificates to the winners of various categories.
The programme was attended by DDSE Mallo Yam Gollo, DDMO Moromi Dodum Sonam, APO DDSE’s Office Kipa Kechek, DTO (Education) CBD Singh and the headmasters, principals, teachers and parents of all the students.
