PASIGHAT, Jan 10: In the first meeting of all Zilla Parishad Members of East Siang district presided over by DEO cum Deputy Commissioner East Siang, Sonalika Jiwani, Ruth Tabing Boko from Runne village of Bosing II was unanimously elected unopposed as the new ZPC, East Siang district. 
After administering the oath of office to the newly elected ZPC and ZPMs, the DC exhorted the new team to shape grassroots development of the predominantly rural areas of East Siang with innovative vision for their respective segments and the district as a whole. Jiwani also asked to ensure 100% saturation of welfare and development schemes. 
The DC urged to take initiative for setting up e-library for students in their respective segments which can also be a hub for availing e-services for the rural residents.With Boko’s election as ZPC; East Siang has now 13 Zilla Parishad members(ZPMs).
Earlier ADC(hq) cum DPDO, Pebika Lego highlighted their crucial roles and responsibilities in grassroots development.
Ruth Tabing Boko, 37, hailing from Runne village of Bosing-II has a Masters in History and B.Ed degree. She expressed her keenness to work wholeheartedly for grassroots development with the support of her new team. DIPRO
