TUTING, Aug 18: In a remarkable display of community coordination and compassion, a girl who went missing from Pasighat on August 14 was safely traced in Tuting and reunited with her family on August 16. The recovery was made possible through the concerted efforts of the local administration, Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) Tuting Branch, and the Bogum Bokang Society.
With no lady police officer present in Tuting at the time, ADC Pandov Perme sought the assistance of APWWS to safeguard the girl. Rising swiftly to the call, the Tuting Branch of APWWS provided immediate shelter and care, with member Genung Doming hosting the girl at her residence to ensure her safety and well-being.
The Bogum Bokang Society extended valuable support throughout the process, further strengthening the joint humanitarian effort.
The APWWS Tuting Branch expressed its deep gratitude to all contributors and reiterated its unwavering commitment to the protection of women and children. At the same time, the Society strongly appealed for the posting of lady police personnel in remote and sensitive locations like Tuting, emphasizing that such measures are vital for handling similar cases effectively in the future.
