MP Ninong Ering writes to Prime Minister to intervene

Correspondent

ITANAGAR, Oct 15: Chinese troops crossed the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the first week of October in Arunachal’s Dibang Valley district near district headquarters Anini. However, the troops returned after the Indian Army informed them that they are on the Indian side of the LAC.
Indian and Chinese armies are now resolving such matters as per a set protocol.
According to local villagers, Chinese Army had entered the Indian territory. However, an Army official said that this is not a transgression. "Due to changing perception of LAC, patrols do go till their perception. However, when the Chinese troops were conveyed, they returned," the official said. The incident comes after nearly 16 months after Chinese troops were intercepted constructing a road inside Indian territory at Upper Siang District’s Bising village. While the Chinese were later chased off by the Indian troops and local youths, heavy machinery used for the road construction was left behind.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Arunachal East, Ninong Ering has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene into the repeated intrusions by Chinese troops into Arunachal Pradesh besides initiating measures to solve issuance of stapled visa by the Chinese to residents of Arunachal Pradesh.
In a letter to the Prime Minister Modi today, Ering said the Government of India must assert the territorial integrity of India and convey the feelings of people of Arunachal Pradesh in a firm manner. Ering urged the PM to take up the matter of repeated intrusion and stapled visa issue with China and stand up to the hopes and aspirations of the people of Arunachal Pradesh to protect the integrity and sovereignty of India.
