NAHARLAGUN, Jan 20: In a landmark consultative meeting held today at the Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) office in Naharlagun, Chairman Pramod Jain, accompanied by Member Hento Karga, engaged in a high-level strategic dialogue with the leadership of the Arunachal Indigenous Tribes’ Forum (AITF) and various apex Community Based Organisations (CBOs) to fundamentally bridge the gap between state administration and the public.
The session centred on the essential goal of building "social trust" and repositioning the ARC as an "important limb of governance" that acts with transparency and empathy towards the indigenous population. A pivotal highlight of the proceedings was a comprehensive presentation by the AITF, an apex body established in 2010 which advocated for the systematic integration of modern technologies in e-governance such as Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning to modernise public service delivery and eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks. Throughout the session, participants focused on the AITF’s core pillars of socio-cultural integration, the proactive resolution of intra and inter-community disputes, and the overarching common interests of the state, particularly in light of Arunachal's economic landscape and its relationship with central funding. By having AITF members complete a specialised ARC questionnaire, the Commission ensured that grassroots feedback and tribal perspectives are directly embedded into the state's reform roadmap, ultimately fostering a "Team Arunachal" spirit where cutting-edge administrative efficiency is harmoniously balanced with the preservation of traditional values and the collective welfare of all Indigenous communities.
