APPSCCE fiasco

ITANAGAR, Nov 17:

Breaking its silence on the APPSCCE mains imbroglio, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has come down heavily on the capital administration for failing to provide safe passage to all genuine and willing candidates who wanted to take the examination but were caught between the police and some protesting candidates on November 10 last. The Union was also critical about the role of protesting candidates and said ‘ring leaders must be held accountable.’

While expressing its deep concern on the ongoing Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCE) imbroglio, the Union said that the incident has given rise to many genuine candidates being deprived from appearing the prestigious exams and have thrown them in a situation of despair and uncertainty.

The Union stand and empathise with the genuine candidates who could not sit for the exam due to security failure and appeal the Commission to search a way out. The Capital Administration has miserably failed in providing security when the situation was already tense from the fortnight when some section of Mains qualified candidates had already started demonstration in Tennis court Itanagar, a release issued by the AAPSU this evening stated.

The AAPSU is also not happy with the conduct of some section of Mains qualified aspirants and ring leaders that have come up with the idea of protesting for stalling the mains examination despite the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission best effort to vacate the Hon’ble court order that was again filed by some section of aspirants, it added.

The union opined that being aspiring candidates they should have never resorted to such extreme steps that have given rise to so many divided set of aspirants group espousing their own interest. Any competitive examination or interview cannot go as per the whim and fancies of a candidate rather they should have been prepared for any eventuality. The competent authority should immediately conduct enquiry into the whole fiasco and held responsible those ring leaders who have started the whole problem.

The AAPSU also laments the recurrent administrative goofs up on part of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission that has time and again created such chaos and mistrust.
