Itanagar, Jun 19:​ The, State Institute of Rural Development& Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), Arunachal Pradesh and Tribhuvan Sahkari University-Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat signed a memorandum of understanding today in the presence of Minister (RD&PR) Ojing Tasing, Secretary (RD&PR) Dr Sonal Swaroop, and Dr. Umakant Dash, Director, IRMA, Gujarat. The pact will enable to avail services on national level training and capacity building, evaluation of the training programme, training needs assessment (TNA), collaborative research and pilot case studies, innovative project planning, management, processing and marketing of local products. 
Addressing the gathering, the Minister stressed on “Viksit Bharat & Viksit Arunachal” and believed that the MoU between both the organizations shall lead to various interventions for the capacity building, training as well as developmental project planning for greater benefit of Arunachal Pradesh. For greater knowledge and skilling of officers, Tasing also announced that two major batches of training programme shall be conducted for senior officers and officials of PR and RD Cadres from August 25-29 next in the state capital and another one from November 3-7 next at IRMA, Gujarat.   
Addressing the gathering Dr. Sonal Swaroop, highlighted that the present MoU has multi-dimensional scope for Training and Capacity Building of SIRD&PR functionaries and the elected representatives: The collaboration shall involve the design, development, and delivery of Leadership Development Programmes, Management Development Programmes, Faculty Development Programmes, and Joint Training Programmes targeting Elected Representatives, Officers/Officials, Functionaries of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), faculty members, and resource persons. These training initiatives will focus on enhancing leadership capabilities, managerial skills, and governance knowledge essential for effective decentralized planning and execution. The objective is to enable functionaries to discharge their responsibilities efficiently and foster participatory rural development. These training programmes shall also draw on contemporary pedagogical methods including case studies, simulations, field visits, and experiential learning approaches tailored to the rural development context
Habung Lampung, Director, SIRD&PR offered vote of thanks and expressed that with the signing of this MoU, the qualities of training imparted by SIRD shall improve. The programme was witnessed by senior officers, Tajing Jonom, Director (PR), Likha Sainpu, JD(PR), Er. Nabam Rajesh, DD, Dr. Narayan Sahoo (DD), SIRD&PR, among others.
