Itanagar, Jan 19: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arunachal Pradesh unit, actively participated in the ongoing Sangathan Parv for the election of the National President of the party. The delegation was led by the State President, Kaling Moyong.
The election process for the BJP National President was initiated following the successful election of 30 State Presidents out of a total of 36 states, thereby exceeding the mandatory requirement of a minimum 50 percent completion.
The formal announcement for the National President election process was made on January 16. Subsequently, on January 19, the nomination process was conducted and successfully completed.
During the proceedings, the National Returning Officer for Sangathan Parv officially announced that Nitin Nabin has been proposed as the sole candidate for the post of BJP National President. Nabin has held several important organisational positions within the BJP. He has served as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and as the State President of BJYM Bihar. During his tenure with BJYM, he actively participated in youth mobilisation campaigns, including the National Unity Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir and a tribute march from Guwahati to Tawang to commemorate the martyrs of the 1965 war. He has also served as the BJP in-charge for Sikkim and co-in-charge for Chhattisgarh, contributing significantly to organisational strengthening and electoral campaigns in these states.
State President Kaling Moyong participated in the Sangathan Parv at the BJP Central Office, New Delhi, along with Chief Minister  Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Member of Parliament Tapir Gao, State Office Bearers, National Council Members, and State Council members.
