ZIRO, Jun 7: A coordination meeting was held in the DC Conference Hall, Hapoli to assess the progress of new flagship programs rolled out by the Government of India today.

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kemo Lollen emphasized on the need to adhere to the guidelines issued by the central government while implementing any flagship program. The financial institutions should collaborate with the district administration for smooth implementation of these programs. The guidelines for every scheme should be circulated to the nodal departments timely for effective dissemination of information to the beneficiaries; he added and directed the Lead manager, SBI to conduct a meeting of all the nodal departments, financial institutions and the PRI members.

Reiterating the need to improve the sanitation and cleanliness of the valley, he said Swaach Bharat Abhiyaan should be seriously viewed and implemented by the UD and PHED departments in true spirit. ‘It is sad that garbage have been found dumped at vital locations in the town although the UD trucks have been regular in cleaning up the garbage. Henceforth people dumping garbage randomly at places without dustbins will be booked and punished under suitable sections,’ he further warned.

The DC also stressed on cent percent coverage under Aadhar.
