ITANAGAR, Oct 22 : In a major initiative aimed at fostering state-wide harmony, behavioural transformation, and sustainable development, the Dream for United Arunachal (DUA) organization is set to launch its flagship Empathy Kindness Arunachal Unity Ride (EK AUR DUA).
Led by DUA Chairman Dr. Gumjum Haider, the unity ride will traverse across Arunachal Pradesh. The campaign focuses on key pillars, including behavioural change, catchment area conservation, sustainable tourism promotion, and creating a conducive ecosystem for youth skill development—fully aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat and Viksit Arunachal envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Outlining the core philosophy of the movement, Haider stated that 'EK AUR DUA' is not merely a ride, but a collective campaign to build a strong foundation of empathy, kindness, and solidarity among all communities. He emphasised that as the nation progresses towards a developed future, it is vital to create a cohesive society where youth are skilled, natural water bodies are protected, and sustainable tourism thrives alongside cultural preservation.
In its first phase, the Unity Ride will cover West Kameng and Tawang districts from October 23 to 27. During this tour, Team DUA will conduct interactive sessions with district administration officials, community leaders, and representatives from all local Apex Organizations to raise awareness, facilitate cross-cultural exchanges, and drive community-led progress.  A major highlight of Phase-I will take place on the evening of October 27 at the Circuit House in Bomdila, where Team DUA will host a special interactive engagement and knowledge-sharing session.
Facilitated by MLA Tenzin Nyima Glow, this milestone meeting brings together the apex decision-making bodies of four key indigenous communities—the Sartang Welfare Society, Sajolang Elite Society (Miji), All Bugun (Khowa) Society, and Aka Elite Society(Hrusso)—to align shared priorities for socio-economic welfare and eco-cultural preservation.
Additionally, a Special Learning Engagement and Interactive Session with local youth and community elders across the region will be facilitated by Tsetan Chombey Kee, MLA for Kalaktang (Rupa–Kalaktang).
Adding sports diplomacy to its outreach in Tawang, Team DUA will also play a friendly football match and hold a shared vision interaction with the Monpa Mimang Tsogpa (MMT), the apex body of the Monpa community, to strengthen inter-community bonds and youth engagement. Extending the message of oneness to the farthest corners, the team will also travel to frontier border villages along the Bhutan and Tibet regions.
The DUA contingent represents a diverse cross-section of professionals, youth leaders, and active members from various ethnic groups across the state. Ahead of the flag-off, executive members called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu at his office in Itanagar.
Warmly receiving the delegation, Khandu commended DUA’s community-centric initiative and extended his heartfelt encouragement. He underscored that meaningful progress begins by empowering grassroots citizens, urging the team to inspire every household towards a peaceful, self-reliant, and inclusive Arunachal Pradesh.
