ZIRO, Sep 16 : The Government of Arunachal Pradesh successfully concluded its comprehensive Industry Consultation Meet under PM-SETU in Ziro, Lower Subansiri District. The high-profile event drew top-tier policymakers, administrators, and industrial stakeholders together to strategise on transforming the state’s technical education and vocational skilling landscape.
Upon arrival for the landmark event, the Chief Guest Nyato Dukam, Minister of Commerce & Industries, Labour & Employment, and Information & Public Relations & Printing was warmly received by Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme and Superintendent of Police Techi Hanyir, alongside district officials.
Addressing the gathering of industry leaders, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and state officials, Dukam underscored the government's steadfast commitment to bridging the gap between modern industry requirements and local youth employability through public-private partnerships.
Valuable perspectives were shared by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Mohesh Chai, Advisor to the Minister, who highlighted the critical importance of integrated institutional growth and coordinated sector development to empower the regional workforce.
The day's proceedings also featured impactful inaugural addresses, including opening remarks delivered by Bullo Mamu, Secretary of the Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, alongside the introductory lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Sibo Passing, Joint Secretary-cum-Director. Strategic roadmap presentations were delivered by national Ministry representatives and Gyati Kacho, Deputy Director, outlining the vision for upgraded Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Arunachal Pradesh under the PM-SETU framework.
Furthermore, the event facilitated an interactive open-house dialogue engaging industry and PSU representatives as prospective Anchor Industry Partners (AIP), and concluded with an official site visit to the Government Industrial Training Institute in Manipolyang. The consultation ended with a renewed impetus on aligning vocational infrastructure with state-of-the-art industrial demands, paving the way for expanded employment and entrepreneurship pathways for the youth of Arunachal Pradesh.
