KANUBARI, May 25:Reiterating his commitment to continue the pace of development in Kanubari sub division, legislator Gabriel D. Wangsu called upon the people to voluntarily donate land for planned infrastructure development of Kanubari township.

Addressing members of the Rujen Welfare Society on Tuesday last here, the MLA said the authorities cannot afford to extend any compensation but assured to set up required infrastructure to accelerate growth and extend Kanubari township.

In another meeting with Project Manager, NERCORMP, the MLA assured accommodation for setting up extension office at Kanubari besides land for model village.

The MLA, alongwith public leaders and RWS office bearers, also visited the new burial ground site and appreciated quality of the infrastructure built under DoTCL fund. He also surveyed land at two different locations for taking up new projects especially for industrial estate and farm based manufacturing units.

He also visited a coffee nursery raised by him through a local entrepreneur at Mopakhat and assured to distribute to villagers during next planting season.

Wangsu, during a meeting with the land owners of Hahshe Rusa village, allayed their fears of losing cultivable land and assured to make the best use of the land for the development of the area.
