ITANAGAR, Feb 17:
A two week long training on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and e-waste management held at Dera Natung Government College, concluded today.
Sponsored by Ministry of DoNER, Government of India and organized under the aegis of National Institute of Electronic and Information Technology (NIELIT) based in Itanagar, a total of twenty five faculty members of DNGC were imparted trainings on digital payment, net banking, GST, smart classroom in teaching-learning, etc.
Speaking at the valedictory function as Chief Guest, Secretary Education, Dr Madhu Rani Teotia called upon the trainees to make best use of the knowledge acquired in the training and exhorted the faculty members to be sincere and committed to their works.
Earlier introducing the activities of NIELIT, Mr N. Devachandra Singh, the Director, NIELIT informed that the programme was an effort of Ministry of DoNER Government of India which aimed at imparting training on ICT to at least 3000 employees in three years period.
Taking the opportunity, Principal D.N. Government College, Dr NT Rikam drew the attention of the Secretary Education towards few pending demands of the college which include introduction of Post Graduate courses, security service and fund for boundary wall etc.
Earlier on arrival, the Secretary Education also planted a sapling in the NCC garden and toured the campus including the hostels.
