ITANAGAR, Jan 28:
A truck fully loaded with sandstone rammed into the SBI main office premises and mowed down the main gate including few portions of the boundary wall on Sunday. Fortunately being a holiday no one was injured.
According to Itanagar Police station sources, the truck was unloading sand for construction work nearby the place of incident, when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle and veered into the main gate due to unknown mechanical glitch.
An FIR has been lodged at police station, Itanagar Vide Ita PS Case No-26/18 u/s-279, 427 IPC after receiving a complaint from SBI main branch AGM. The driver, identified as Robi Basumatary was quickly taken into police custody and the vehicle seized.
Meanwhile in another incident, a Tata Indigo car fell into deep nallah near tri-junction, Gandhi Market. According to nearby people, the accident took place on Saturday night and no one was injured.
