ITANAGAR, Jan 19:Five days training programme of Inspector Legal Metrology recruited recently through APPSC concluded today with a word of encouragement from Controller Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs Hokum Ori for effective enforcement of various provisions of the Act and Rules in their respective District and sub-divisions towards better protection of rights of common consumers.
On first three days of the training programme, theoretical training have been imparted on various provisions of the Legal Metrology Act and Rules as well as Consumer Protection Act, 1986, Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) Act by the resource person of the Department. They also have been given brief on Service rules and the account procedures. This was followed by field practical training.
