ITANAGAR, Feb 12: Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) led by its president YD Thongchi, a Sahitya Academy awardee himself, today congratulated state’s noted writer-poet Mamang Dai on receiving the most prestigious Sahitya Academi award from its president Chandrasekhara Kambara in New Delhi today.

This again brings to the forefront the talent of Arunachalees, Thongchi said, adding Dai as a role model would continue to inspire young writers and poets of the state to continue to work in the field.

It may be mentioned here that APLS was conceived by Thongchi in 2006 as a platform to boost the morale of young ones in its weekly 2nd Saturday literary session to showcase their talent.
