ITANAGAR, Sep 10: Parliamentary Secretary for Home and Education, Pani Taram has advised all NGOs to be resolved towards their goals so that their real purpose reaches the needy.
Taram said this while attending the 2nd foundation day of Itanagar based NGO, United Charity (UC) at Siddharta Hall here today.
Attending the program as Chief Guest, Taram appreciated the noble initiative taken by the United Charity in the field of Education and Health. ‘There are more than 5000 registered NGOs and many unregistered ones but only few truly work for charity while the rest swerve from their goals,’ added the Parliamentary Secretary.
I am very touched by the selfless services rendered by the team UC, who silently saved many lives and is creating awareness on open defecation as well as imparting free tuition to poor students under their initiative “Shiksa Hi shakti”, said Taram while assuring to extend all kind of help in the near future.
Speaking on the occasion as Guest of Honour, Founding Editor of Eastern Sentinel Jarpum Gamlin, also appreciated the initiatives taken by the NGO. He further said that there are many NGOs working behind the curtains for the betterment of society but there are also few with different designs.
Gamlin further, advised the team to continue their services maintaining their spirit. “Work can be anything, but good intention can only bring positive result to it,” he said while assuring to assist regarding Personality Development and other similar aspects.
Earlier, Tsange Droma, the founder chairman of UC, highlighted various programmes organized and the people they helped through the NGO through a slide show. She said the NGO is purely non-profitable organization and is development centric in ideology.
