ITANAGAR, Feb 5:
The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women attended the 25th anniversary celebration of the National Commission for Women (NCW) on January 31 last at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The day long programme was on social problems faced by women such as preventing domestic violence, sexual harassment at workplace, issues of NRI marriages and desertion and acid attack and rape issues in society.
The programme was divided into two sessions of morning and evening. Minister of State for Women and Child Development Dr. Verendra Kumar and Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi attended including Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar.
The programme was participated by State Commission of Women from all over the country including students from various Law Colleges and police personnel.
