ITANAGAR, Dec 1: The All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) has requested the SIT team for speedy investigation into the mysterious death of former MLA late Ngurang Pinch.

It demanded immediate arrest of the culprit involved in the alleged murder and deliver justice to the bereaved family.

The union also extended its full support to the proposed candle light vigil by Achi Dopum Welfare Society scheduled for December 7 next at Tennis Court Itanagar.

Furthermore, the APPDSU requested the Investigating Officer of Women Police Station, Itanagar to record the statement of the 88 students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Tani Hapa (New Sagalee), at the school itself without summoning the students and their parents to Itanagar to avoid unnecessary harassment.

It also demanded the state government to constitute district wise Vigilance Committee to monitor government, private and NGO run residential schools to deter similar incidents in future.
