PASIGHAT, Jan 24: The Organizing Committee of Smart City Pasighat Foundation Stone laying ceremony which was held on January 21 last with much fanfare is being alleged of breach of protocol and improper treatment towards Pasighat West MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture & Fisheries.
Raising the issue, 37th Pasighat West BJP Unit Mandal President, Ono Panggeng said that MLA Er. Tatung Jamoh was not sent an invitation including no protocol was maintained after he was seated.
“We had never dreamt of inhospitable and unfriendly environment during the D-Day of the centennial Pasighat City”, the letter addressed to the organizing committee quoted.
On the similar vein, the 37th Pasighat West Mandal, Kishan Morcha, Ruksin Chamber of Commerce BJP Yuva Morcha among others condemned the organizing committee for the oversight.
Meanwhile, when contacted Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak said he was unaware of the matter. “I didn’t have any major role in the arrangement of Smart City Celebration. Everything was handled by Pasighat Municipal Committee and representatives from Pasighat East MLA.”
In his defence, Pasighat East MLA, Kaling Moyong said that, he had had personally invited Jamoh and all other Adi MLAs, Minister and MP two days prior to the programme along with formal invitations.
The question of improper treatment and not inviting him (Jamoh) doesn't arise here, he said.
