LUMLA, Feb 11: At least 60 people benefitted from Skill Development and Capacity Building Training on traditional and ancient Buddhist trades of Agarbatti and Handmade Paper makings sponsored by Department of SD&E here at Lumla.

 Attending the valedictory function, Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Works Department, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (SD&E) Jambey Tashi stated “Imparting proper training and skills to unemployed youth is the only solution to Arunachal’s unemployment problem”.

 Jambey further  opined that the Department of SD&E is committed to take up various vocational trainings throughout the state on a war footing to train the unemployed youth and make them skilled and organized work force.

 ‘Skill Development Sensitization, Motivation and Trainees Selection Rally-2018’ is now underway at various District Headquarters with more than 20 trades including plumbing, electrician, mason, driver, computer operator, beautician, travel and tourism, textiles and handloom, handicrafts among others and we will soon organize a mega event of this at Tawang also combining the three Districts of East Kameng, West Kameng and Tawang,’ he informed.
