ITANAGAR, Mar 17:

Leader of Opposition, Takam Pario today trained guns on the ruling BJP government over allocation of a whooping Rupees 227.41 crore under Untied Fund of 2017-18 financial year in the last moments of Budget 2018-19.

Speaking to the media, Pario claimed that the government has allotted more than Rs 200 cr under untied fund for different districts to deceive the public. How can the government allocate such huge fund that too of 2017-18 financial year, which is about to end in matter of days? This is corruption practice to siphon off public fund, he alleged.

He further claimed that amongst the districts highest allocation was made against Namsai district amounting to Rs 29.16 crore, whereas several districts got only few lakh.

‘Such move by the state government clearly shows their biasness’, Pario said.

‘If at all fund has been allocated then there should be proper check and balance of the fund as well as the works,’ Pario stated. He further opined that public should know about such huge corruption that is going on in the state.

How can the government spend such huge amount in short duration as this financial year is already in its last leg. Instead of allocating fund for new projects, government should clear the pending liabilities of contractors against various completed projects, he said.

When queried about  the  allocation date and duration to complete the said project under Untied Fund, Pario categorically  asserted that all the fund has been allocated within this month and as per  norm they have to complete  all the projects within this financial year, as the allocation was made against the  2017-18 financial year.

Such is the corruption practice going on in the state, how can we support such a government, stated the Leader of Opposition.
