ITANAGAR, Jan 22:National Hawkers Federation (NHF) members arrived here in the state capital on its one-day tour to assess the performance and hear the problems faced by the street vendors of Arunachal Pradesh.
NHF members led by Jayanta Das, Pratap Sahu, Mohd Yakub and Murad Hossain visited all the vending zones of the capital complex and interacted with street vendors.
Members further stressed on the implementation of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act 2014, along with proper conduct of TVC meeting with mandatory 40% representation from street vendors.
Further, other issues such as early construction of permanent structures for vending zone, survey and issue of vendors identity card, early construction of vending zones in each location as identified in its first preliminary survey conducted by Itanagar TVC, proper utilization of 5% fund allocated for the street vendors under NULM were raised.
