Wakro, Nov 17: The Indiabullriders of Durgapur chapter led by Partha Sarathi Roy are riding up the Anjaw hills meeting administrators and social leaders to create awareness among general public against drug abuse and illegal trafficking. The social initiative inspired by Ankit Kumar Singh, SP Lohit, supported by NGOs and youth of the area was flagged off this morning by students of KGBV and Apna Vidya Bhavan, Wakro.
SP Singh conveyed that the good move will definitely change the mindset of the people doing much good for society while also encouraging people to eradicate the drug menace. The district police chief further expressed happiness saying, "It is so good to witness this kind of initiative and participation from various sections of society."
Partha Sarathi Roy handed over the 'no addiction campaign cards' to the office of ADC Hayuliang. ADC Sotailum Bellai assured that the cards will be distributed among panchayat and social leaders of the subdivision to create awareness on the issue. Riders Partha Sarathi Roy, Ashish Bhattacharjee, Santu Ghosh, Sourav Paul, Sandip Kumar Basu, Kaustav Paul and Aryan Basu will ride up to Walong to handover the awareness cards to Taba Milka, CO, Walong for campaign in the Walong and Kibithu circles. The riding team will also meet social leaders in Tezu circle to campaign for the cause The "No addiction campaign cards" were earlier distributed to GBs and PRI members of Wakro circle by volunteers Andhiso Dellang, Ashok Yun and Binod Kumar Subba.

People appreciated and thanked the Arunachal Pradesh Police and SP Lohit for the continuous efforts made to discourage drug abuse/addiction and stop illegal trafficking in the region.
The commitment, care and concern of the leaders in Arunachal Pradesh Police to save the young generation and society is visible from the fact that the Lohit Police instead of keeping it as a one day or weeklong affair is instead making persistent effort continuing to address the urgent issue which is posing great threat to society especially at times where the youth is getting trapped in drug and opium addiction.
