NAHARLAGUN, Feb 28: Threadbare discussion on various burning issues was held during the 18th meeting of the Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council today under the Chairmanship of Dr. Moji Jini, DHS cum President of the AP Medical Council.
The Council agreed that the quality of scientific CME should not be compromised while awarding CME Credit hours. The Council Members also unanimously agreed that no person other than those holding qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India should be allowed to practice modern medicine and endorsed the Delhi High court order on the issue. Regarding ‘Prescription audit’ of Doctors, the Council opined that the ‘Prescription audit’ could be taken up as a part of research activity by the Indian Medical Association, Arunachal Pradesh Branch or other such bodies and APMC can monitor such activities. This will help in developing ‘Standard Prescription’ in the state.
