ITANAGAR, Dec 21:

Noted poet-author Mamang Dai has been chosen for the prestigious Sahitya Academy Award-2017 as announced by Sahitya Akademi Secretary K. Sreenivasarao today. Overjoyed with the honour to add a jewel to the literary cap of Arunachal Pradesh, members of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) led by its president Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi congratulated her for winning laurels for the state.

It is worth mentioning here that Thongchi is the first to win  Sahitya Academy Award in 2005.
